Soon the booth cleared out as everyone spread out around the bar the drunker they got, until there was only me and Cooper left. The beer made me more comfortable; at least I’m pretty sure it was the beer, and we got to talking. I flirted with him a bit, and he flirted back. After a while I excused myself, telling Cooper I had to go to the ladies’ room.


I made my way through the back hallway into the bathroom. It was small, with one regular stall and one handicapped stall, but clean, which is more than I can say about a lot of bar bathrooms I’ve been in. I really didn’t need to go to the bathroom, I just needed a few seconds to collect my thoughts. This entire night had been so unbelievable, so incredible that I just wanted to get a few seconds to breathe. A few seconds to take it all in, to realize this was really happening to me.


I looked at myself in the mirror and took a couple deep breaths. Then, I couldn’t help but grin. I wanted to laugh, I wanted to scream, when all of a sudden the door behind me opened. I looked back and saw Cooper Blake standing in the doorway.


“What are you doing here?” I asked as Cooper came over, placing a soft finger on my lips.


“Shhh, don’t say anything” he whispered, and his mouth was on mine. My eyes widened as Cooper Blake’s mouth explored mine, his lips roaming across mine, his kiss powerful, but soft. There was urgency in his kiss, an urgency I had never felt before. This was so unexpected, so unlike anything I’d ever done. We were in a bar bathroom, someone could come in at any time!
